Dear Max
A few months ago I wrote a post called “Where The F*&# Do All The Blankies Go?”. about the Bermuda Triangle-like disappearance of your dozens of taglets.
And over the last few weeks, you’ve stopped using your “dudu” during the day, and have only slept with it.
But last week, you proclaimed to your dad that you no longer needed your dudu. Out of the blue. And last night, when I asked you if you wanted it, you flatly said no, that you weren’t a baby anymore.
I know you’re ready to let go, but I’m not sure I am. I mean, I’m happy that in your own time you’ve decided to let go of it, but I will forever warmly and longingly remember your dudu pressed to your face when you slept, or clutched in your hand whenever you needed it. And I’ll even miss the scramblings to find one, and the “I waaaaaaaaant my duuuuuudu”
Au revoir ma bebe. Au revoir le dudu.
