Why I might need one of these… the time-out chair

February 28, 2012

Dear Max

I’m hoping someone will send me to the time-out corner or chair, for 36 minutes (one minute for every year, right?). I am even happy to have a few extra minutes added in for good measure.

I’m busy with a lot at the moment, which is great, but I’m so keen more than a few minutes to do nothing, leave the phone behind, not touch the Macbook, and not think of so many ideas. The more frenetic I am, the more likely I am to hoot a lot, shout at the dog, eat your Zoo Biscuits, and be a little less funny (haha, not strange). But now that I think about it, strange too.

So I’ll soon be calling a time-out for myself. There will be no tears, no leaving my seat or begging to go back to the TV. I might take a hot mug of tea with me, and or it just might give me too much to do so I’ll leave it.

Let the timer begin…

Moms really do have the hardest job in the world. 24/7. I take my hat off to you. Enjoy your break – you need it once in a while.
