Dear Max
Happy new year dude (and to all the readers of this blog – I hope it’s a good one).
We are back from Cape Town and allow me to speak for both of us when I say we had a brilliant time, summarised below:
Your best food experience: sushi at Minato and biscuits at Charley’s Bakery
My best food experience: same as above, plus high tea and breakfast at The One & Only
Your best experience in general: visiting the aquarium and running from tank to tank yelling “more, more, more”. You loved it. You pointed out the colours, and noted that the biggest fish in the tank was the “dada feeesh”
My best experience in general: climbing Lion’s Head and not breaking a leg owing to tripping on a rock
Your best new words on holiday: aquaryan (aquarium), sea, crane, litchi, Apetown
My best new expressions on holiday: “OMG this view is amazing”, and “Make that a double”

Your favourite toy: Any car
My favourite toy: iPhone to take Instagram pics of the scenery
Your favourite unexpected activity: Sticking dinosaur stickers on my New Yorker
My favourite unexpected activity: Not working every day
The thing we never did: Go to the beach
The thing we did a lot of: Run on the promenade and in Camps Bay
The thing that saved my bacon in times of your niggliness: Jolly Jammer biscuits
Our mom-son highlight: Going on a boat ride along the marina

The moment that tested my patience: A day in Franschhoek when you wanted the fake fruit in the restaurant to be real. From then on, you were niggly, at times inconsolable, and very clingy
The times I breathed a sigh of relief: During our flights, when you were awesome, relaxed and charming
Thank you for a brilliant holiday Max. Looking forward to many more,
xMom

Welcome back! Holidays fly by so quickly! That pic of you and Max is absolutely stunning. He has the biggest smile in that pic – Happiness! Not going to the beach? Typical Capetonian behaviour! See you soon to see more of your pics…
