Gushy and “good-news” posts are mostly unavoidable, and while I try not to make it a habit, here’s the mostly exception.
We have been invited to Club Med in Mauritius next month where my biggest decision will be what to eat off the buffet, and where your biggest “problem” will be deciding between all the activities at the kids’ club.
We’ll be staying at the La Plantation D’Albion and dude, I think this is going to be a holiday of a lifetime that I’ll be reminding you of when you’re older through Instagram pics, blog posts, and stories.
I know everyone is frazzled at this time of year, and everyone deserves a holiday, but I’m bloody happy our turn is coming soon. I’m tired and sore, and have been holding it all together, but I’m in need of an exhale.
And the bonus is that the exhale will come in a beautiful setting, alongside a Kindle full of books, and four Vanity Fairs and about seven New Yorkers that I haven’t managed to read yet. I am excited to swim with you (in my board shorts and sarong), eat palm heart salad (sorry – I know they take years to grow, but frick they’re delicious), and build sand castles.
And in other news, look at what we’ll be travelling with? How cute is that passport face, taken when you were around six months old?
Yours in island dreams,
